Student advocacy

Michael Bowles is a student leader from Calvert County, Maryland, recognized for his strong commitment to leadership, service, and civic engagement. As a student at Calvert High School, he has demonstrated the ability to lead with integrity, foster collaboration, and effectively represent the interests of his peers.

Mr. Bowles serves as Class President and is an active member of several distinguished organizations, including the National Honor Society (NHS), Calvert Turning Point USA (TPUSA), the Calvert High School Young Republicans, Educators Rising (Ed Rising), and the Calvert High School Choir. In these roles, he has contributed to initiatives that promote academic excellence, leadership development, and community involvement.

In addition to his school-based activities, Mr. Bowles serves on the Calvert County Board of Education's Citizen Advisory Committee, where he engages with community stakeholders and contributes to discussions on local educational priorities. This role reflects his strong interest in public service and his commitment to representing the perspectives of students and the broader community.
